Today, we’d like to spotlight one of our driver companions who has truly grown into his role with the Envoy America family.
Meet Tiago Cruz
“My philosophy in my work is simply ‘do unto others as you’d have done unto you,’” Cruz said. “With our clients, I don’t have to put on a show. When I see these folks, I see family. They’re important to me,” Cruz added.
The above quote truly reflects Tiago’s passion and his “family” ideals are what have made him a favorite among our riders and propelled him up the ranks.
“Tiago started as a driver and quickly showed us how great he truly was. Our riders loved him and loved his service mentality, so it made perfect sense to promote him to Dispatch Manager,” says K.C. Kanaan, CEO and Co-founder of Envoy America.
Tiago has a large family at home, with 5 children in total, adding to his loving-personality. Tiago was born and raised in Lisbon, Portugal, moving to the United States in 1995. Before moving to the US, Cruz served two years in the Portuguese army.
From there, he was a technical draftsman before making a career switch to the airline industry. Finally, Tiago found his home with us at Envoy America.
In his spare time, Tiago loves watching historical documentaries.
