The Rewarding Ride-Sharing Service
It may be challenging for a veteran to find a job once their time in the military is over. Sometimes this is due to their inability to market themselves, while other times they have a hard time explaining their skills and talents without using military jargon. Regardless of the reasons, there seem to always be stories about how veterans are not being hired for jobs.
Envoy America is striving to fight that dynamic. Currently, more than 30% of our Driver Companions and staff are military veterans. We see the benefits these individuals bring to our industry, as well as what a position with our company may do for them.
Envoy America continues to partner with veterans through these company-wide practices
Veterans First Hiring Policy
Envoy America makes a conscious effort to find and hire veterans. We strive to provide a unique opportunity to work in senior ride services. We are committed to improving the lives of our former military and their families. Our appreciation for veterans is just as strong as it is for each of our customers we serve.
By hiring more veteran Driver Companions, we hope to open the door for growth and to have the potential benefits that other companies may not offer. With flexible schedules, increased earning capacity, and growth opportunities, we directly support our veterans’ goals and needs.
Earn More With Envoy America
Our veterans join our other Driver Companions among the top earners within the senior ride services industry. With the potential to earn up to $20 per hour, some of our veterans are making as much as $1000 per week.
Options to prequalify each ride and view the potential earnings make it easy for veterans to accept or refuse each trip as they wish. They can easily plan out each week by selecting rides ahead of time, so they can always know what their schedule looks like.
Valued Team Members
While all Driver Companions are hired as independent contractors, they are treated as valuable employees in the Envoy America organization to receive the appreciation and honor they deserve.
With the best senior ride services training program in the industry, veterans will be fully prepared to offer the assistance each rider needs. They are trained in safety such as first aid, CPR, and assisting their rider in and out of their wheelchair. Helping each senior feel more comfortable and relaxed during their ride is another aspect of each driver’s training. Veterans’ protective instincts have immensely improved our services.
Sense of Purpose
Many veterans deal with a lasting struggle to find a sense of purpose after their time in the military. Envoy America offers the chance to find their calling as a Driver Companion. By offering exceptional senior ride services, they will greatly benefit elderly members in their local community. In addition, veteran Driver Companions may serve a fellow veteran in their duties, which will only strengthen the bond and comfort level clients have with their Driver Companions (and vice versa).
The affordability and compassionate service Envoy provides will be reflected in the gratitude veterans feel from their riders, giving them a level of job satisfaction they may have never felt before. This sense of belonging plays a major part in the joy our veteran driver companions feel on a daily basis.
