I’ve been driving since 1978 when I excitedly counted down the days until I was 16.

I love variety! I enjoy helping others! Mom’s always said I’m resourceful and motivating as that was confirmed back in 2006 when she became very ill. Hospitalized for the remainder of that year, I like to say that she’s a fighter for sure. As a two-time graduate of Hospice where she was expected to pass each time due to multiple organ failure, I brought her home to die. Though mostly bedridden and homebound for the next 3 years, she got better, and lived with me and my husband from 2007 to 2010. We all worked hard getting her back in decent health and she now lives on her own with her boyfriend of 15 years. They go everywhere he and she need to go, grocery store, day trips etc. ! I’m still her caregiver, it’s just not like it was then! I sure could have used a service like Envoy America then!

I’ve worked since I was 14 years old in customer service, I was a part-time stay-at-home mom during the 1990’s with my son who is now 30 years old but I was also a volunteer. Divorced in 1998, I went back to work full-time once again to a customer service Call Center, selling hotel/motel reservations and houseboat rentals on Lake Powell…it was quite fun! Seasonal work though, I needed full-time so I found work in Wickenburg at Merv Griffins Wickenburg Inn and Dude Ranch as the reservations manager, I really thought my calling was for the hospitality industry but that was not to be. When the dude ranch closed in 2002, I bounced around to a few other places before I landed at a manufactured home builder running their Parts Department. When my mom became ill in 2006, the company let me go because I was spending too much time at the hospital. It was then that I realized I was no longer cut out for an 8 to 5 office job. However as luck would have it, I was offered a position as an assistant to a property manager. I hesitated because I knew that I didn’t want to be stuck in an office again, but was assured that would not be the case. I happily assisted the manager for almost 4 years when it became apparent that I was slowly being sucked into the office routine once again and it was not fun!

Jump ahead to 2015 where I’m now a licensed real estate agent. I’m holding onto that for now as I feel Real Estate is something I could do closer to my retirement. I also currently help my best friend of 30 years by managing her office and books for her mobile dog grooming business. It’s not routine, but in my true fashion, I am committed to helping her on Mondays with her business. In the meantime, I really enjoy driving!

I’ve been driving since 1978 when I excitedly counted down the days until I was 16. Since then I’ve driven Circle Track Dirt Track cars at Canyon Raceway and Drag Race Cars at Phoenix Dragway back in the 1990’s – though maybe I shouldn’t be telling you that. Haha. I like to stay busy, and my hobbies are tinkering around my house, reading, video games and my 5 dogs.

My driving career started in December 2015. I’ve driven with Uber, Lyft and some others but I felt there should be something more than just dropping off and picking up random passengers. I have found what that “more” is with Envoy America! I hope to be instrumental in assisting Envoy America to grow and become the premier accompanied transportation service for seniors that they deserve to be! I feel confident that if my passengers want to request me, that I can confidently tell them that, if I’m not available, they’ll love any driver from Envoy America as we are all the same kind of caring and compassionate people.

I don’t have a “most memorable” ride as there is something special about each one, but my most recent favorite compliment was from a group who loved my “smooth driving”. And one of the gentlemen who was probably a very assertive driver himself back in the day, commented that since he’d been instructed to stop driving at night and that he admired my driving and would now stop giving me directions and just sit back and enjoy the ride.
